TIMUCIN SAHIN 4

Like many young jazz guitarists Timucin Sahin displays influences of fusion masters like Pat Metheny and John Scofield. Sahin distinguishes himself through his frequent use of the fretless guitar, with which he creates glissandos, microtonal riffs and non-Western techniques. The Turkish guitarist was trained in Amsterdam and New York. He has played with Greg Osby and Robin Eubanks, amongst others. Last December he performed at the Bimhuis with Randy Brecker.
