Many great names made use of his services, from the world of jazz: Phil Woods, Al Foster, Dave Liebman, Danilo Perez, Red Garland, Maria Schneider and Donald Byrd, as well as pop: Donald Fagen, Paul Simon, Sheryl Crow, Lyle Lovett, Stevie Wonder, Incognito en Blood, Sweat & Tears. Since several years, saxophonist Tim Ries has been part of the Rolling Stones live band. Two days before the great Stones show in the Amsterdam Arena Ries plays the Bimhuis with his Rolling Stones Project accompanied by, among others, outstanding drummer Leon Parker. In 2005 the album The Rolling Stones Project was released containing impassioned jazz arrangements of the Stones repertoire. ‘I thought what Tim recorded was amazing.
