ABOUT TIJN WYBENGA & AM.OK
Since his graduation, Tijn Wybenga has developed  into one of the Netherlands’ greatest talents in the field of composing and conducting. His ambitions are great and his mind is full of plans and original ideas. Already at the age of 23 Tijn formed his dream orchestra AM.OK. Under the wings of BIMHUIS Productions, and supervised by a.o. Martin Fondse, he is now fed by this group of musicians. With his energy and creative brain, Tijn manages to take the music of his musicians to a higher level, and ultimately to catch the true Amsterdam sound.

ABOUT THE NEW GENERATION SERIES
A new batch of jazz musicians in the Netherlands is eager to get their voice heard. Whether it is straight-ahead jazz, free jazz or cross-over classical; they are ready to take over from their masters. But not before they have been together for a while to learn from each other. New Generation portrays four Dutch jazz talents who have clearly taken their own path in music, and are respected by the generations that precede them. In addition to Tijn Wybenga, Sun-Mi Hong, Reinier Baas and Ebba Åsman are the focus of this series.
How did these great talents get to where they are now and when did their paths cross those of the older masters? In the portraits there is room for their story, but also for live music. The different generations play together in special sessions throughout the Netherlands.

The earlier episodes of New Generation can be watched here, including nice extras and images that were not shown in the broadcasts.
