His orchestral and operatic works are performed all over the world, but in the 1960s and 70s composer and saxophone player Theo Loevendie founded legendary jazz bands, including the Theo Loevendie Consort and a Quartet with Hans Dulfer, Arjen Gorter and Martin van Duynhoven. For his 75th birthday in 2005, Loevendie wrote jazz for the first time in 20 years. These works were sung by Kristina Fuchs. Loevendie will perform standards with Fuchs and Dutch drum legend John Engels.
