Whether they play a moody late night ballad or a propulsive groove, this supertrio featuring saxophonist Efraïm Trujillo, organist Rob Mostert and drummer Chris Strik always sounds soulful. The Preacher Men will present their new album Royal Flush on ZenneZ Records. It is the follow-up to Blue, winner of the Edison Audience Award in 2019.
Band leader Efraïm Trujillo sets the tone with his atmospheric sax and unique E♭ blues horn. Trujillo also plays in The Ploctones and is the musical leader of the Amsterdam Funk Orchestra. Rob Mostert is literally keeping himself on his toes, as he plays the pedals of his B3 organ barefoot. Drummer Chris Strik has been praised in Slagwerkkrant as ‘the most agile drummer in The Netherlands’.
