This month sees the release of For All I Care, the new CD by The Bad Plus. The American piano trio has reached star status in the jazz world with their hyper-energetic performances and their surprising renditions of popular standards by Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, The Bee Gees and many others. The album title For All I Care is taken from the lyrics of Nirvana’s Lithium, which is sung on the record and live on stage by Wendy Lewis. ‘By any standards, jazz or otherwise, it is moving, mighty music’ (Rolling Stone).
