TETZEPI INVITES DER ROTE BEREICH
Friday19 February 2010

The campy jazz punk of Berlin trio Der Rote Bereich has gained a world wide cult status. For the SEED project guitarist Frank Möbus has planted musical seeds which served as points of departure for composers Jorrit Dijkstra, Albert van Veenendaal, Fabrizio Puglisi and Hans Leeuw. SEED was devised by Tetzepi, the eccentric Amsterdam ensemble that plays with the tightness of a well-oiled big band and the flexibility of a small combo. ‘Heavy complex rhythms, a blasting horn section and an open-minded approach’ (de Volkskrant).
