The musicians in Tarhana, call themselves ‘Nomads in Music’. The group mixs music from the Balkans and Turkey with Dutch and other western influences. The folk music from the Balkans and Turkey has historical ties with that of the Sindh people, the gypsies in Rajasthan and the neighbouring region in Pakistan. The musicians from Rhythm of Rajasthan are direct descendants of this tradition.
