TALKING COWS & FRYSK FANFARE ORKEST

To celebrate the release of their new CD, which was recorded in Harlingen, the band Talking Cows invited the Frisian brass band Frysk Fanfare Orkest. Talking Cows approaches the American jazz style with Dutch sobriety, ‘colored with humor, spontaneous interaction and the willingness to break open structures’ (de Volkskrant). The catchy compositions by founders Frans Vermeerssen and Robert Jan Vermeulen always offer room to a solid saxophone sound, inventive piano playing and dynamic grooves.
