SYLVIE COURVOISIER/MARK FELDMAN QUARTET
Sylvie Courvoisier piano, Mark Feldman violin, Thomas Morgan bass, Gerry Hemingway drums
Swiss jazz pianist Sylvie Courvoisier and violin player Mark Feldman, who used to be a country musician in Nashville, form one of the closest and most creative alliances in contemporary music. They compose chamber music with plenty of freedom and space, also for bassist Thomas Morgan and drummer Gerry Hemingway. ‘The four carve out a true ensemble sound, their finely honed interactions shaped by a strong sense of space and keen listening skills’ (Signal to Noise).
