What do you get when you join the hardest swinging pianist in The Netherlands, Peter Beets, with the soulful and energetic Sven Figee on his rumbling Hammond organ? Indeed, the best of both worlds. Together they give their energetic twist to American standards as well as their own compositions, backed by bassist Steven Zwanink en drummer Martijn Vink (The Ploctones, Metropole Orkest). Special guest Gideon Tazelaar adds an extra dimension on tenor sax.

Peter Beets is one of the most virtuosic jazz pianists. He’s a member of The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, and has previously collaborated with widely different artists such as  Ruben Hein, Stochelo Rosenberg, Benjamin Herman en Jeff Hamilton. Keyboard player Sven Figee has performed at all the major venues with his Sven Hammond Soul, and he has made name with his big band on Dutch national television.
