Stefano Bollani, a celebrity in his homeland Italy, is a brilliant jazz pianist, a novelist and a bold comedian in the vein of Roberto Benigni. He caught the public’s eye playing in ensembles of Enrico Rava. In his virtuoso solos he links Scott Joplin to Beethoven and The Beatles.
