STEFAN LIEVESTRO SEXTET

Since over two decades, bass player Stefan Lievestro is a popular sideman, still performing in groups of Michiel Bostlap and Harmen Fraanje, but finally he steps out with his own formation. This true ‘all star’ band mainly plays Lievestro’s characteristic original compositions. In the previous year the bass player won the prestigious Deloitte Jazz Award. The jury report spoke of an exceptional and virtuoso bassist and praised his long and impressive record as a sideman and soloist.
