SOO CHO QUARTET featuring Angelo Verploegen

Korean pianist Soo Cho plays ‘sensitive, delicate jazz, in which she effectively makes use of space and time’ (NRC). Great influences on her compositions are piano-improvisers like Keith Jarrett and Enrico Pieranunzi. Soo Cho has been playing since she was three years old. After her classical piano and flute studies in Seoul she moved to the Netherlands in 2001, where she dedicated herself to jazz. Her quartet, with trumpet player Angelo Verploegen of Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw fame, presents its new CD Little Prince tonight.
