Silje Nergaard, superstar of Norwegian vocal jazz, seduces with a voice that is fragile and at the same time crystal clear and direct. ‘I don’t want to put off the listener with too many embellishments’, she said to Dutch daily NRC Handelsblad. ‘I leave much to the imagination’. On her most recent CD Unclouded she can be heard with two acoustic guitarists in new compositions, standards and a version of the hit ‘Human’, originally by The Killers.
