The musicians of Cuban ensemble Septeto Santiaguero are from Santiago, the breeding ground of son. This traditional Cuban style experienced a rebirth thanks to the gentlemen of Buena Vista Social Club. Septeto Santiaguero keeps the genre alive. Instead of the obvious classics the group invigorates the audience with fiery guarachas.
