The passion and rhythmic vitality of South African music has always played an important role in the music of Sean Bergin. This version of ‘My Own Band’, Song MOB is a new step into the development of the musically bilingual saxophonist and composer: Xhosa and English, Kwela and jazz. Three uninhibited, improvising vocalists reveal the connection between African vocals and jazz standards. Last year, Song Mob did its first performance at the Bimhuis, then without MOB members Jan Willem van der Ham, Eric Boeren, Wolter Wierbos and Tristan Honsinger. In the complete line up the meeting will definitely reach higher grounds. 24.00u, gratis DJ PHIL JAZZ LOST AND FOUND Dance till late on hidden treasures & crazy grooves in vintage music.
