Scott Hamilton honors the tradition of the great tenor saxophone players with his lyrical playing which, according to New York Times, has ‘a husky sensuality’. The American tenor player established his reputation in the bands of Roy Eldridge, Anita O’Day and Benny Goodman. At the Bimhuis he will perform with the trio of pianist Rein de Graaff, a true bebop authority in the Netherlands since the 1950s. ‘One of the enduring masters of improvisation on the Great American Songbook’ (The Guardian).
