SATOH/MORIYAMA/BRÖTZMANN
Peter Brötzmann rieten, Masahiko Satoh piano, Takeo Moriyama drums
Ever since his debut album For Adolphe Sax (1967) Peter Brötzmann has been adding new dimensions to the sound of the saxophone, blowing away every rule in the book. As a key figure in European improvised music he sets the standard for independent musicians worldwide. Tonight he will be performing with his Japanese contemporaries Takeo Moriyama (drums) and Masahiko Satoh (piano). ‘With that tenor between his lips he becomes nothing less than a force of nature’ (The Wire).
