Guitarist Sandro Fazio presents his all-star band with Stefan Lievestro, Martijn Vink en Dominic J Marshall. Melody is at the heart of the contemporary jazz of Fazio. Special guest is Italian tenor saxophone player Francesco Bearzatti, whose wild sound forms a missing link between Thelonious Monk and Led Zeppelin. Bearzatti, who lives in Paris, is currently drawing a lot of attention at all the major European festivals.
Sicilian born guitarist and band leader Sandro Fazio arrived in Amsterdam around 2000, where he studied at the conservatory with, among others, Jesse van Ruller and Martijn van Iterson.
The fluent playing style and slightly distorted guitar sound of Sandro Fazio are embedded in his clearly structured compositions and arrangements.
