Inventive guitar playing by Amsterdam-based Sicilian Sandro Fazio. With his all-star band he will perform music from Growth, one of the best albums of 2015 according to het Parool.

Amsterdam-Sicilian guitarist Sandro Fazio is being praised for his most recent album Growth, which was counted among the best of the year by Dutch newspaper het Parool. For Growth he gathered excellent Dutch musicians alongside one of Europe’s hottest sax players, Francesco Bearzatti, whose wild sound forms a missing link between Thelonious Monk and Led Zeppelin.

The fluent playing style and slightly distorted guitar sound of Sandro Fazio are embedded in his clearly structured compositions and arrangements. The Sicilian born guitarist arrived in Amsterdam around 2000, where he studied at the conservatory with, among others, Jesse van Ruller and Martijn van Iterson.
