Rumbatá is one of the greatest salsa orchestras in the world, especially because the band plays a lot more than salsa. Band leader/percussionist Jaime Rodríguez is a wizard in using rhythms from different cultures, for instance from his home country Colombia. These rhythms dominate in the last project and on the new CD in an extended line up. And of course, next to the dazzling rhythms, they perform beautiful compositions, blending jazz and folklore perfectly.
