In this unique concert the Amsterdam based Royal Improvisers Orchestra (RIO) shares the stage with its British counterpart, the London Improvisers Orchestra (LIO). Around 40 improvisers will meet at the Bimhuis. In the LIO young musicians play alongside veterans like Lol Coxhill, Steve Beresford and Harry Beckett. RIO was founded three years ago by ex-LIO member Yedo Gibson and consists of musicians with divergent backgrounds, from baroque to noise-rock.
