Rough Diamonds: Stuck in an Elevator | Yehorii Uzhva – The Trace
Tuesday 2 June 2026

The Amsterdam Conservatory is bursting with young, passionate musicians who experiment freely and launch new initiatives. From late May to late June, our stage is the setting for these Rough Diamonds, with two bands per evening, free and open to the public. Tonight’s performers:

Stuck in an Elevator

Stuck in an Elevator connects rock sonorities with the harmonic heritage of jazz, resulting in music that moves between tightly composed material and the raw energy of modern rock and metal. Strong backbeats and intricate rhythmic figures form the foundation on which the quintet builds its own sound.

Delaram Kafashzadeh vocals, Yehorii Uzhva alto sax, Elias Leverato piano/keys, David Guerreiro bass, Diego Miranda drums

Yehorii Uzhva – The Trace

The Trace is a collective quartet formed in 2025, developing a repertoire of original compositions shaped by the diverse backgrounds of its members. The music balances virtuosity with sensitivity, placing strong emphasis on interaction. Cinematic textures alternate with high-energy moments, navigating the fine line between written material and spontaneous improvisation.

Yehorii Uzhva tenor sax, Theo Naishtat guitar, Søren Christensen double bass, Aviv Maya drums
