Rough Diamonds Round Midnight: Gijs Idema Trio

Gijs Idema is one of the most promising jazz guitar players coming from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Here he had lessons with Jesse van Ruller, Reinier Baas and Martijn van Iterson. After four years of studying Gijs concluded his bachelor cum laude (with a 10) and moved to New York City to pursue his masters at the Manhattan School of Music where he is currently having lessons with Christopher Rosenberg, Arturo O’Farrill, Dave Liebman and Ron Carter. Last year his trio released the album Squares.
