Rough Diamonds Round Midnight

For this edition of Rough Diamonds Round Midnight the new band of two promising musicians from Barcelona: trumpeter Alba Careta and saxophonist Irene Reig. They moved to The Netherlands to continue their studies in jazz music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Now they have decided to join forces, as well as their original compositions, in a new group.
Last year Alba Careta released her debut album Origens, a mix of original themes, standards and boleros. Irene Reig won the audience award at the Dutch Jazz Competition 2018 with her project The Bop Collective.
