In his latest project, the Surinam flute player Ronald Snijders, combines Caribbean rhythms like kaseko, kawina, zouk and salsa with hip hop, soul and afrobeat. At unexpected moments, his compositions shift to a different colour through subtile changes in harmonies, rhythm and density. Tonight, Snijders presents his new CD with older and recent material that hasn’t been released before. This concert was originally scheduled for october 30, but could not take place owing to family circumstances.
