Eubanks makes it all work artfully, like tiles in an intricate, logical yet intuitive, and slightly surreal mosaic’, is what Jazz Times wrote. That mosaic is built from the very best that American jazz had to offer in the past years. This is reflected in his impressing resumé: Elvin Jones, the Jazz Messengers, the Mingus Big Band, Eddie Palmieri and of course his key position in the Dave Holland Quartet. Besides that, the trombone player is one of the few musicians that enriches his instrument with electronic amplification and coloring. In this sober, but funky trio, his unique sound shows to full advantage.
