Cuban piano player Roberto Fonseca is primarily known as a musical heir to Buena Vista Social Club; he played alongside the most prominent members of the successful orchestra, Ibrahim Ferrer and Rubén González. As a solo artist Fonseca presents a contemporary version of Afro-Cuban music, in which he mixes traditional son rhythms with soul and jazz.
