ROBERT ROOK TRIO

Pianist, mathematician and former software designer Robert Rook (Utrecht, 1966) combines opposites and sublimates them in his own, recognizable style. Solid precision goes hand in hand with untamed romance; virtuosity shifts to simple but well aimed notes. With his trio he recently released the successful double album Bimhuis Live and this evening’s concert will also be recorded, for a DVD. The Volkskrant describes Rook as ‘a rare and complete pianist.
