This audiovisual spectacle revolves around more and lesser known science fiction film music, performed by a virtuoso ensemble. Bob Zimmerman arranged film music from the period of 1968 to the present, complemented by soundtracks composed especially for this performance, by Rob Verdurmen. Video artist Martijn Grootendorst adds unexpected film material.
Composer/arranger Bob Zimmerman has written soundtracks to the series De Nieuwe Wildernis, and the movie Süskind, as well as arrangements for Metropole Orchestra and the television show Maestro. For 38 years, percussionist/composer Rob Verdurmen was the drummer in the internationally renowned ensemble Willem Breuker Kollektief. Underlying theme in their performance is the development of digital technology in film music.
