Remembering Cor Fuhler celebrates the life and musical heritage of Cor Fuhler (1964-2020), musician, composer, instrument designer and builder, visual artist and creative thinker. Fuhler has played a vital role in the adventurous branch of Dutch music. In 2010 he relocated to Australia with his family. His passing in July 2020 shocked friends and colleagues all over the world, especially in Amsterdam.

Friends and colleagues of Cor Fuhler join forces to present a program celebrating his life, and his place in Dutch music, with a memorial, performances, photos, videos and recordings. Although it would be impossible to touch all aspects of his music on the same day, this afternoon and evening promise a kaleidoscopic musical world with a parade of musicians who have played with Cor throughout the years. Nine of them form Corkestra, which will alternately welcome various guests and subgroups on stage.

‘Corkestra’s sound is vintage Cor Fuhler: tuneful, lively, colorful, humorous and a little bit off-center. Their sound is distinctive as a fingerprint’ (Kevin Whitehead).
