REGENORCHESTER XIII
Franz Hautzinger trompet, Martin Siewert gitaar/lap- & pedalsteel/electronica, Oren Ambarchi gitaar/electronica, Luc Ex bas, Tony Buck drums
Austrian trumpet player Franz Hautzinger, prominent member of the innovative Viennese jazz scene, came up with the idea for Regenorchester on a rainy day in London. This thirteenth version of the group moves between extremely quiet improvisations and impassioned electrical jazz in the same vein as Miles Davis’ album In a Silent Way. Aside from the adventurous rhythm section of Luc Ex and Tony Buck the ensemble consists of Martin Siewert and Oren Ambarchi, who use the guitar as the foundation for their set of electronic instruments.
