The computer funk of Dorian Concept has a strong affinity to the music of Prefuse 73 and Flying Lotus; on the one hand it’s danceable and while at the same time deliberately putting you on the wrong foot. The Austrian producer will release his new EP on Kindred Spirits. This Amsterdam label has released various records by Rednose Distrikt, the surreal hip-hop collective with DJ Aardvarck & Steven de Peven. The Knalpot duo sounds like a motorbike race between Radiohead, Clark and Squarepusher.
