RAYUELA: MIGUEL ZÉNON/LAURENT COQ/DANA LEONG/DAN WEISS

Miguel Zénon, a fabulous alto saxophonist and a four time Downbeat Critics Poll Rising Star winner, manages to convince everyone with powerful, emotionally charged playing. His friendship with French pianist Laurent Coq inspired their project Rayuela (‘hopscotch’), after the eponymous 1963 novel by Julio Cortázar. Like the book it hops between the bohemians of Paris and Buenos Aires, the music moving between the continents, with the classical cello of Dana Leong and the Indian tabla of drum prodigy Dan Weiss.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
