Ramón Valle trio

Ramón Valle is an absolute jazz great. Since his debutalbum, almost thirthy years ago, it is almost impossible to imagine an international stage without the unique cocktail of genres of the Cuban jazz pianist. Tonight he performs with his trio, the ultimate lineup to make free and adventurous music, according to Valle. With on bass his trusted comrade in arms Omar Rodriguez Calvo and the super talented Jamie Peet on drums.

The trio will play material from their live-album Inner State from 2020, recorded with this new lineup. The album includes new compositions, as well as Valle’s first big hit Levitando and an original reading of Leonard Cohen classic lovesong Hallelujah. Technical mastery, Cuban roots and a singing heart come together – an irresistible new chapter in the history of great jazz trios.
