Prinses Christina Jazz Concours: Selections Big Bands

Every two years the Prinses Christina Concours organizes a jazzconcours, the only national jazz competion for young musicians. During the big band selections the 12 participating bands play before jury and audience for 12 minutes. Directly afterward the awards ceremony takes place. The best bigband gets to perform later during the finals. Every bigband receives personal feedback from the jury. With the tips the jury gives the talented young musicians their enjoyment while playing music increases.

Entrance to the event is free and between performances there is ample opportunity to leave the concert hall. Look forward to a cheerful, festive and musical atmosphere. This much young jazz talent under one roof, does not happen often.

For over fifty years the Prinses Christina Concours stimulates the musical development of children and young adults. With contests, a moving concert hall (the Classic Express), an online concours (de Muziekwedstrijd) the Prinses Christina Concours is a leading stage for music education and talen development.

Practical info
Entrance is free. Selections start at 9.00 AM and end at 1.00 PM. Around 1.45 PM the organization will announce the big band winner on www.christinaconcours.nl. In November you can find the selection program on www.christinaconcours.nl.
