Two-day competition for jazz musicians aged 12 to 21, with different categories: soloists, duos, bands and big bands. They will perform before jury and audience.
Young jazz musicians will show their skills at the eight Prinses Christina Jazz Competition. The competition is open for all every young jazz musicians aged 12 to 21, of all levels. Soloists, duos, bands and big bands will participate.
The Prinses Christina Jazz Competition is a springboard for young jazz talents. Previous laureates include Joris Roelofs (alto sax/clarinet), Morris Kliphuis (French horn) and Mark Schilders (drums). This year’s jury consists of Co de Kloet (chairman), Susanne Alt (saxophone), Berend van den Berg (piano), Martijn van Iterson (guitar), Erik van Lier (brass), Felix Schlarmann (drums), Joris Teepe (bass) en Francien van Tuinen (vocals).
