Besides that he should be considered a pioneer in the domain of interactive computer music.’ ‘Houtkamp builds bridges between the world of jazz, free improvisation and electronic music.’ A few quotes from the report by the jury that awarded saxophonist, composer and bandleader Luc Houtkamp the VPRO/Boy Edgar Prize 2004, the most prestigious Dutch prize in the field of jazz and improvised music. Houtkamp put together a program with FOURinONE, POW Ensemble, Ernst Reijseger and Wiek Hijmans.
