PRESENTATION PABLO MENÉNDEZ AND MEZCLA

Carlos Santana namechecks them as ‘the cleanest, freshest water I have ever tasted’. The Cuban ensemble of guitarist Pablo Menéndez and Mezcla has been a prime factor in Latin Jazz for the last 25 years.  

With their unstoppable Latin American grooves and spectacular solos they are widely regocnised as one of the great innovators in the genre.  Menéndez and Mezcla are performing at the Bimhuis on October 11, but will also make a presentation the day before on October 10.

Presentation
During the presentation, the band will explain about their backgrounds in music, the context and circumstances of their innovative influences and about the music culture of Cuba.

The 10 October presentation has free entry and starts at 08.00 PM. Musicians will play records after the presentation.
