PRESENTATION CONCERT OF THE BIMHUIS WORKSHOP IMPROVISATION

Ever since the opening of the (old) Bimhuis in 1974, master bass player Arnold Dooyeweerd has been leading the Workshop Improvisation. A number of musicians, in various combinations, who participated in previous years will have ‘carte blanche’. Dooyeweerd: ‘After 30 years it might be interesting to hear the results of the workshop. Many workshop players are well known musicians by now but I prefer to have the performance done by people that gained from the insights that they found on those evenings in recent years. The musicians will go on a musical adventure without a road map. But what to put in your suitcase? This is the basic subject of the workshop that I have had the pleasure of leading for such a long time now!’
