POW ENSEMBLE & JOSEPH BOWIE

In Tap Hop the POW Ensemble led by Luc Houtkamp approaches the tap dance from a contemporary point of view: the live computer music. On several compositions the computers are directed by the tap dance of Marije Nie. The repertoire also contains surrealistic arrangements of jazz classics by Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and Slim Gaillard. Trombone player Joseph Bowie (Defunkt) brings in some extra fireworks.
