PODIUMTRIO

In 1985, when Jan Kuiper was the third winner of the Podiumprijs/Podium Award, he asked his predecessors Wolter Wierbos and Paul van Kemenade for an occasional concert. The trio with its daring, yet successful setting of trombone, alto saxophone and guitar, played (inter)national concerts for thirteen years. The group toured several times with Cornell Rochester and Jamaaladeen Tacuma and did projects with David Murray, Kelvin Bell and George Lewis. Now, eight years later, the laureates meet again.
