Peter Guidi Jazz MArathon 2023

The jazz department of the Music School of Amsterdam produces a great amount of young talents every year. They’ll put their best foot forward during the annual JazzMarathon at the BIMHUIS, featuring several bands and ensembles.

35 years ago Peter Guidi, ’the godfather of the Amsterdam jazz scene’ (de Volkskrant), founded the Jazz department of the Music School of Amsterdam. Since then, they have grown to include four big bands, seven jazzcombo’s, and two workshops for adults whom all rehearse weekly. The result cannot be found is jam-packed afternoon where the next jazz generation takes the stage.
