This dream band was conceived by trumpet genius Peter Evans, who builds his layered improvisations from bits of pre-war jazz and innovative sounds. His role model Evan Parker is known as one of the most ground-breaking saxophonists since John Coltrane. Pianist Craig Taborn, number 1 in the Downbeat Critics Poll, uses his instrument as an unpredictable sounding board. Sam Pluta is a specialist when it comes to improvising with live electronics.
