Two generations of self-styled musicians come together in a new improvisational quartet. In the 1990s German free jazz legend Peter Brötzmann already played with trumpet player Toshinoro Kondo in Die Like A Dog Quartet, which was dedicated to Albert Ayler. Kondo collaborated with the likes of John Zorn, Derek Bailey, Bill Laswell and DJ Krush. The two heavyweights will tour for the first time with their younger kindred souls, Zu bass player Massimo Pupillo and Norwegian drummer Paal Nilssen-Love.
