This very special New Year’s Eve concert, with highlights from the “Zaal 100 Brokken” concert series, opens with fiery flamenco by guitarist Eric Vaarzon Morel, followed by a high speed parade of old friends and new talents. In the second set there is room for reflection with the beautiful stories of Toon Tellegen, and an excursion into outer space with the music of Sun Ra, performed by the Astronotes. Until just before midnight there will be a spectacular set from high energy-duo Knalpot, and the new year will kick off with a festive music mix by DJ Plutones, Joost Buis. The concert will be preceded by the documentary movie ‘Improvising Hands Improvising Minds’ by Bernadette van Beurden.
