Special edition of Oorsprong Curator Series, improv concerts with challenging guidelines: high degree zero: no solo, duo or regular groups, no pre-set rehearsals, no comfort zone.
Oorsprong Curators series is an Amsterdam improvised music platform aimed at experiment. Each concert consists of three sets by three different curators, following the principle of ‘high degree zero’: no solo or duo sets, no regular groups and no pre-set rehearsals. Each concert is like a blind date for instant composing. ‘Each line-up is like an artistic and social experiment’, says coordinator Raoul van der Weide, who has initiated the series in 2009. OCS will land at the Bimhuis this month.
