OMER KLEIN TRIO

Pianist Omer Klein is among the current batch of young Israeli musicians making waves in New York. Like many of the other artists on John Zorn’s Tzadik label he blends contemporary jazz with traditional Middle Eastern styles. His music continuously balances between Jewish and Arabian influences and between joy and sadness, underlining the tensions in his native country. ‘What he plays is exotic yet accessible and makes you feel fully alive’ (Jazz Times).
