OLIVER/HEGGEN & ERIK BOSGRAAF, LAMPE/PROVAN, DELIUS/LILLINGER

The Bimhuis presents a small improv event with three fresh combinations. Recorder player Erik Bosgraaf won the prestigious Dutch Music Prize this year. He goes in at the deep end with string duo Oliver & Heggen. The Amsterdam-based Australians Felicity Provan and Walter Lampe have played in many line-ups; now they will perform as a duo with a mix of jazz, rhythmic grooves and abstract moods and textures. The Berlin-based musicians Tobias Delius and Christian Lillinger combine warm tenor sax with inventive drums. Lillinger is an experimentalist who can swing; for this reason critics compare him to Han Bennink and Paul Lovens.
